The "Authorize my Computer" in the "Help" Menu of Adobe Digital Editions is not available (greyed-out)

Sometimes during step 2 of redeeming your product on a Macintosh or Windows computer, you will not be able to "authorize your computer" as shown in the instructional videos for those platforms. See the attached screenshot.

The issue is that your computer is already authorized; you'll need to de-authorize it before your authorize it with a Campus eBookstore account. To do so follow the steps below:

For Macintosh and Windows users using Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 or earlier: On the "Library" page of Adobe Digital Editions, press and hold Ctrl-Shift-D at the same time. This will de-authorize your computer. Then, re-authorize as shown in the instructional video for your platform.

For Macintosh and Windows users using Adobe Digital Editions 4.0 or later: On the "Library" page of Adobe Digital Editions go to the "Help" menu at the top of the page. Then select "Erase Device Authorization". Then, re-authorize as shown in the instructional video for your platform.
